Role Overview: As a Buyer-FME2 at Hero Motocorp, your purpose-driven role involves identifying LEAP projects for cost savings. Your day-to-day tasks will include the conversion of PR-PO for A & B Class items, timely conversion of PR-PO within 30 days, query resolution, availing quotes from suppliers, planning, and comparative statement preparation. You will also be responsible for managing quotes from suppliers, vendor visits, comparative preparation & submission for approval, creating purchase orders, releasing schedules, and following up with suppliers to ensure timely supplies of regular items. Additionally, you will be involved in supply performance monitoring, addressing quality & delivery issues, coordinating with finance and logistics service providers, and achieving cost savings through alternate sourcing and product negotiation. Key Responsibilities: - Identify LEAP projects for cost savings - Conversion of PR-PO for A & B Class items within 30 days - Daily review of purchase requisitions and update commitment date - Coordinate with users in case specs are unclear - Manage quotes from suppliers and prepare comparative statements - Create purchase orders and release schedules - Follow up with suppliers for timely supplies - Monitor supply performance and address quality & delivery issues - Coordinate with finance and logistics service providers - Achieve cost savings through alternate sourcing and product negotiation Qualifications Required: - BTECH/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics - 0-9 years of experience for BTECH and 6-15 years of experience for Diploma in the Indirect & MRO area - Technical skills in SAP MM Module transactions, negotiation, communication, MS Excel, MS Office - Good analytical and presentation skills - Behavioral skills such as delivering results, building relations, customer focus, and a process-oriented approach Additional Company Details: Hero Motocorp, headquartered in New Delhi, India, is the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters for 22 consecutive years.
