Job Description

Role Overview: As the BU Controller, Medical, reporting to the VP, Controller, your main responsibility is to coordinate Controlling activity at the Business Unit (BU) level. You will act as an interface between Plant Controllers and the Division Controller, ensuring compliance with local laws, regulations, Group culture, targets, policies, and implementation. Your primary focus will be on HSE as a top priority. You will be expected to provide accurate reporting packages to the Division and Group while also concentrating on continuous improvement. This role is open to remote or hybrid/onsite candidates within the United States and Europe. Key Responsibilities: - Follow Ahlstrom's manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures, and policies to meet safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper - Challenge Business Unit Leadership Team members and guide them in decision-making - Support Business Unit Leadership Team in Annual and Strategy planning preparation and specific analysis on demand - Lead, develop, and mentor Plant Controllers to provide the best support to the business - Prepare and ensure accuracy of Reporting Package jointly with Plant Controllers, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting, forecasting and planning, and supporting the Division Controller in the monthly Business review - Provide instructions and deadlines to Plant Controllers, monthly Business Unit review package, and support in working capital and Capex management - Analyze customer and product profitability, monthly STI tracking, partner with the BU VP for result consistency and process improvement - Handle the forecast process, annual plan, business plan templates preparation, expense analysis, internal control framework, and support strategic sales management - Coordinate with BU VP and BU MGT team, conduct ad hoc analysis, control working capital and Capex management, share monthly profitability reports, and harmonize month-end reporting processes - Undertake project work as assigned in both Business and Operations areas, manage and provide production variance analysis summary regularly Qualifications: - Master's degree in Business Administration or equivalent - Proven solid experience in Finance and Controlling management within a complex international environment - Strong leadership skills for reporting team management and cross-function management - Excellent analytical skills, target-oriented, outstanding communication, and change management skills - Fluency in English, availability for travel Additional Details: Ahlstrom is a global leader in combining fibers into sustainable specialty materials.
