Business Development Officer

About the Role
We are looking for a driven and personable Business Development Officer to grow our overseas education consultancy’s student base and institutional partnerships. You will be the face of our organization to prospective students, parents, schools, and university partners — generating leads, building relationships, and converting inquiries into successful enrollments abroad.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and generate new business leads through schools, colleges, education fairs, digital campaigns, referrals, and networking events.
• Counsel prospective students and parents on suitable overseas study destinations, universities, and courses based on their academic profile and career goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with partner universities, colleges, and institutions abroad to expand the organization’s course and country offerings.
• Conduct seminars, webinars, and in-person presentations at schools and colleges to promote study-abroad opportunities.
• Manage the end-to-end admission counseling process, including application guidance, documentation support, and visa process coordination.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly student enrollment and revenue targets set by management.
• Track and follow up on leads using CRM tools to ensure timely conversion and accurate pipeline reporting.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to plan promotional campaigns, events, and outreach strategies.
• Stay updated on international education trends, visa regulations, scholarship opportunities, and university admission requirements.
• Prepare periodic business development reports and present performance updates to senior management.
• Represent the company at international education fairs, roadshows, and partner events, including occasional travel.
• Address student and parent queries and concerns professionally, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or counseling, preferably in the overseas education or study-abroad industry.
• Strong knowledge of international education systems (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, etc.) is a plus.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Target-driven mindset with a proven track record in meeting sales/enrollment goals.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
• Willingness to travel for events and institutional visits as required.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience working with education consultancies or international universities.
• Knowledge of visa application processes for popular study destinations.
• Fluency in additional languages is an advantage.
