As a Business Development Executive in Venture Capital, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding the investor base. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the sales team in identifying, engaging, and closing deals with potential investors. You will collaborate closely with the investment team to articulate the value proposition of the venture capital fund and drive successful fundraising efforts. - **Pitch and Presentations**: Develop compelling pitch decks and presentations showcasing the fund's investment thesis, performance, and competitive advantages to potential investors. - **Negotiation and Closing**: Lead negotiations with investors, address their concerns, and structure deals aligning with both their interests and the fund's objectives. - **Relationship Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, provide ongoing communication, updates on fund performance, and address inquiries or concerns promptly. - **Market Research**: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to inform sales strategies and enhance the fund's value proposition. - **Excellent Communication**: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create compelling presentations and effectively communicate complex investment concepts. - **Negotiation Skills**: Proficiency in negotiating and structuring investment deals, understanding investor needs, and aligning them with fund objectives. - **Relationship Building**: Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with investors, industry professionals, and stakeholders. - **Industry Knowledge**: Familiarity with venture capital, private equity, startup ecosystem, and financial markets is highly desirable. - **Bachelor's Degree**: A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field is required. An MBA or equivalent is preferred. You will be working full-time in a permanent position with benefits such as paid sick time and paid time off. The work location is in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, requiring reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work. The ability to speak Hindi is an application question.
