Job Details -

A Business Data Analyst primarily collects, analyses, and interprets complex datasets to provide actionable insights that inform business decisions and improve operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include data cleaning, transforming, and organizing, as well as developing and maintaining dashboards and reporting tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs). They utilize technical skills in areas like SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth and optimization.

Core duties and responsibilities:

• Data Collection and Analysis: Gathering, cleaning, and analysing large datasets to extract meaningful information and identify trends.
• Reporting and Visualization: Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
• KPI Definition and Tracking: .Defining and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Problem Solving and Improvement: .Assisting with process improvement and identifying solutions to business problems through data-driven strategies.
• Collaboration: Working with various departments to understand their data needs and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Data Management: .Helping to maintain data frameworks and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Essential skills for a Business Data Analyst:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python (or R), data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), and statistical software.
• Analytical Skills:. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Business Acumen: Understanding of business processes and how data can drive strategic decisions.
