Job Description

Primary Key Responsibilities (Top 3-5 KRA)

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements related to data and reporting.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and data mapping documents.
  • Conduct structured interviews and mock requirement exercises to assess analytical thinking.
  • Work closely with data engineers and SMEs to ensure solutions are aligned with business goals.
  • Support the development and enhancement of data models, dashboards, and reporting tools.

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Facilitate workshops and walkthroughs to validate requirements and proposed solutions.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues and blockers in collaboration with technical teams.
  • Maintain documentation using tools such as MS Visio and Confluence.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification

Knowledge & Skills (Must Have) :

  • Strong understanding of data analysis, data governance, and business process modelling.
  • Experience in comparing, analysing data sets, patterns and schemas
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (i.e. SQL, Excel, Python)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Scrum).
  • A scientific mindset and structured problem-solving approach
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy

Knowledge & Skills (Additional) :

  • Basic knowledge of Pyspark, Python, Azure
  • Proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Experience with Azure technologies (e.g., Logic Apps, Data Factory) is a plus

Experience:

  • Minimum 610 years of experience as a Business/Data Analyst in financial services or insurance.
  • Strong understanding of data analysis, data governance, and business process modelling.
  • Experience in comparing, analysing data sets, patterns and schemas
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (i.e. SQL, Excel, Python).
  • Experience with Azure technologies (e.g., Logic Apps, Data Factory) is a plus

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
  • IIBA CBAP Certification
