Job Description

Rockwell Automation, is looking for a Business Analyst to support our Platform Product Management team. As part of the group responsible for the core architecture, extensibility, data services, and developer tools behind our MES and ERP SaaS platform, youll help define requirements, guide research, and coordinate execution across teams. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves translating vision into structure, identifying gaps, and helping bring platform capabilities to life: from scalable APIs to workflow automation, integration tooling, scalable cloud platforms, and embedded intelligence. You will report to Group Product Manager. Your Responsibilities: Support Platform Product Managers by researching customer needs, mapping technical and functional requirements, and shaping features across main pillars (APIs, extensibility, data, cloud tooling). Collaborate with engineering, UX, and domain experts to create clear, detailed artifacts such as PRDs, user stories, technical specs, and documentation. Work with company partners (application PMs, support, pre-sales) to clarify platform use cases and collect cross-domain requirements. Analyze feature requests, customer feedback, and system usage to help prioritize and scope backlog. Help validate delivered features and coordinating across releases. Help maintain internal documentation and platform standards (e.g., API patterns, extensibility practices, onboarding materials). The Essentials - You Will Have: 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or Technical Product 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or Technical Product Owner in a software/SaaS environment. Bachelors degree in IT, CS or equivalent. Technical curiosity and ability to collaborate with engineers and architects to understand platform systems. Experience writing PRDs or user stories for technical platform features (e.g., APIs, integrations, developer tools, infrastructure). Self-directed, able to coordinate across teams and track moving parts.
