As an L&A Business Consultant at EY, you will have the chance to work as part of the Consulting team on engagements covering a wide range of topics related to Life and Annuity insurance. Your responsibilities will include: - Proficiency in Individual and Group Life Insurance concepts, various Annuity products, and different types of insurance plans such as Qualified/Non-Qualified Plans, IRA, Roth IRA, CRA, SEP - Solid knowledge of the Policy Life cycle including Illustrations/Quote/Rating, New Business & Underwriting, Policy Servicing and Administration, Claims Processing, and Disbursement - Demonstrated ability in Insurance Company Operations like Nonforfeiture option/ Face amount increase, decrease/ CVAT or GPT calculations /Dollar cost averaging and performing related transactions - Understanding of upstream and downstream interfaces for policy lifecycle In terms of Consulting Skills, you will be expected to: - Experience in creating business process maps for future state architecture, developing WBS for conversion strategy, and refining requirements in multi-vendor engagements - Work on Business transformation and modernization programs, Due-Diligence, and Assessment projects - Gather requirements, write BRDs, FSDs, conduct JAD sessions, and workshops to capture requirements - Define optimal future state operational processes, product configuration, and scope by providing innovative solutions - Elaborate and deliver clearly defined requirement documents with relevant dataflow and process flow diagrams Regarding Technology Skills, you should be: - Proficient in technology solution architecture, data migration projects, data analytics, and data governance principles - Collaborative team player, working closely with stakeholders and technical teams to define requirements and implement effective solutions Industry certifications (AAPA/LOMA) will be an added advantage. Experience with COTS products like FAST, ALIP, OIPA, and wmA is preferable.
