Job Description

Job Summary:

Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements related to healthcare systems and processes.
Analyze data and workflows to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Translate business needs into functional specifications for technical teams.
Support the development and implementation of healthcare IT solutions, including EHR/EMR systems, claims processing, and patient management platforms.
Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for proposed changes.
Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations with cross-functional teams.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, and other relevant standards.
Create and maintain documentation including business requirements, process flows, use cases, and user stories.
Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-implementation support.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Information Systems, or related field.
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the healthcare domain.
Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, terminology, and regulatory requirements.
Experience with healthcare data standards (HL7, ICD-10, CPT, etc.) is a plus.
Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio).
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
