Business Analyst with Guidewire Home and Auto experience

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering & Analysis:

  Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements for Auto and Home insurance products.

• Guidewire Platform Expertise:

  Utilize deep knowledge of the Guidewire InsuranceSuite (especially PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter) to ensure system functionality aligns with P&C business needs.

• Product Configuration:

  Work closely with configuration teams to define rating algorithms, policy coverages, endorsements, and business rules specific to Home and Auto insurance products.

• Process Modeling:

  Document and model current ("As-Is") and future ("To-Be") business processes, identifying gaps and proposing solutions to improve operational efficiency.

• Testing & UAT Support:

  Develop test cases and support Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, ensuring implemented solutions meet business specifications and quality standards.

• Stakeholder Management:

  Act as the critical liaison between business units, IT development teams, and external vendors, facilitating workshops and ensuring clear communication.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience:

  Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain, with hands-on experience in Guidewire implementations or maintenance.

• Domain Knowledge:

  Strong, in-depth knowledge of personal lines insurance products, specifically

  Homeowners

  and

  Automobile

  insurance lifecycles (New Submissions, Renewals, Cancellations, Claims, etc.).

• Technical Proficiency:

• Experience with Agile Scrum methodology and tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Familiarity with Guidewire data models and configuration basics.
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis.

• Soft Skills:

  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Guidewire Business Analyst Certification.
• AINS (Associate in General Insurance) certification or other relevant industry certifications.
• Experience with other Guidewire products (BillingCenter, Digital Portals, DataHub) is a plus.
