Job Description

BA - Life Insurance domain - Digital Projects (Portals / Apps / Integrations)

Role and Responsibilities

  • Deliver integrated, user-centric Digital solutions that align with business objectives and enhance business processes.
  • Elicit and translate business requirements into detailed documentation like BRD, FSD, FRD and API documentation.
  • Capture "As-Is" and "To-Be" states from ideation to scope definition to ensure optimized solutions.
  • Creating intuitive UI/UX wireframes and design mock-ups using tools like Balsamiq, Microsoft Visio, Figma, etc.
  • Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) including creation of Process flowcharts and data flow diagrams.
  • Maintain project artefacts throughout the lifecycle, addressing diverse change requests (CRs) raised by cross-functional teams with aligned solutions.
  • Performs gap analysis, scope analysis or impact analysis to optimize business processes.
  • Defining Customer journeys for Website, Mobile App and intermediary portals.
  • Adept in Agile Scrum environment.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and development of test cases.

  • Creativity, Analytical skills and Communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with, convince and inspire senior management, explaining technologies and associated risks such that impact is clear and ownership is taken.
  • Able to drive results and work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Pragmatic, pro-active, hands-on mentality motivated by realizing goals rather than personal acknowledgement and a proven ability to drive result.

Skills

  • Domain knowledge - Life Insurance in India
  • Building different types of portals.
  • Integration with other aggregators.
  • Skilled in defining scope from ideation, creating process models and descriptions,
  • Performing gap/impact analysis between "As-Is" and "To-Be" states for integration or API solutions with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into detailed documentation using clear and simplified technical language.
  • Interface and/or digital integration platform experience will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in Agile Scrum environment will be an added advantage.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Business Analysis Tools Skills required

  1. Expertise in the Quote-to-Buy journey and insurance Servicing processes like Renewals, Claims is a must.
  2. BRD, FRS and CRs
  3. Wireframing (Balsamiq, MS Visio, Figma or Adobe XD)
  4. Business Process Modelling (draw.io)
  5. Familiarity with insurance and technical layman terms
  6. Techno-functional expertise in implementing requirements from a system and application perspective.
