Overview:
This individual will play a critical role in gathering business requirements, documenting system functionalities, defining user interface (UI) elements, and ensuring high-quality deliverables through QA scenarios. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of digital pathology workflows, image data management, industry standards, and regulations in the healthcare domain. This role will bridge the gap between business, clinical stakeholders, and the technical development team to ensure that the system meets clinical needs and complies with healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering: Engage with clinical stakeholders (pathologists, lab technicians, radiologists) to understand and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements for the digital pathology IT system. UI Definition: Work closely with UI/UX designers to define UI elements that are intuitive and align with clinical workflows and best practices in digital pathology. Create detailed wireframes and user stories. System Business Logic: Define and document business rules, workflows, and system logic needed to support digital pathology, such as image processing, annotation, and report generation. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all requirements align with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, IVDR, CLIA, and CAP, as well as industry standards like DICOM and HL7. QA Scenarios: Develop comprehensive test cases and QA scenarios for functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system functionality meets business and clinical requirements. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for business and technical teams, facilitating clear communication of requirements and ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, including business requirement specifications (BRS), functional requirement specifications (FRS), and use cases. Change Management: Manage and track changes to requirements, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed and adjustments are properly documented.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in healthcare IT Familiarity with digital pathology standards such as DICOM WSI, SVS, NDPI, and other image formats used in pathology - added advantage Strong understanding of system functionalities, including image data processing, data storage, and reporting. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to gather and document detailed requirements and translate them for technical teams. Experience in creating test cases and defining QA scenarios to ensure the system meets all functional and business requirements. Proficient in Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
