Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design and develop busbar configurations for HT and LT panels
Perform current-carrying capacity calculations, thermal analysis, and short-circuit withstand verification.
Busbar 3D design based on the load requirements of the power panel.
Interpret electrical SLDs (Single Line Diagrams) and GA (General Arrangement) drawings for proper busbar design.
Select appropriate materials (Copper /Aluminum) and insulation for busbars based on application and standards.
Coordinate with Electrical Design and Production teams to ensure feasibility and manufacturability.
Ensure designs comply with relevant standards like IEC, IS, and customer-specific norms.
Air-insulated bus duct design and bus bar designs. Calculation of holes required on busbars based on cable size and quantity.
Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation of new busbar assemblies.
Continuously improve existing designs for cost-effectiveness, reliability, and space optimization.
Prepare technical documentation and Bill of Materials (BOM) for production teams.
