Job Description

About the Role:

Branch Sales Managers (BSMs) are part of the Bank's frontline sales leadership team. Their primary responsibility is to acquire new customers, explore business opportunities, and drive branch-level sales performance. BSMs lead a team of Business Development Executives (BDEs) focused on selling Current Accounts and Savings Accounts (CASA) and other banking products. They ensure effective market mapping, customer engagement, and resolution of queries to deliver superior customer satisfaction.

Key Skills:

  1. Communication:

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and customers.
  2. Sales & Negotiation:

    Strong negotiation skills to close deals and achieve targets.
  3. Customer Service:

    Ability to ensure the team delivers exceptional customer service and resolves inquiries effectively.
  4. Problem Solving:

    Aptitude for identifying issues and implementing solutions to overcome obstacles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve branch sales targets through direct efforts and by managing a team of BDEs.
  • Identify and convert sales opportunities for CASA products by acquiring new customers and building relationships.
  • Deepen engagement with existing customers to enhance relationship value.
  • Ensure timely servicing of leads and resolution of discrepancies during the application process.
  • Record and track all engagement activities in the CRM system.
  • Prepare and implement sourcing, activation, coaching, and mentoring plans for BDEs.
  • Ensure compliance with KYC, SEBI, and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation/Post-Graduation from a recognized university.
  • 49 years of experience in a relevant role, preferably in the BFSI sector.

Role Proficiencies:

  • Strong communication skills in English and local language.
  • Proven ability in lead generation and conversion.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High sales orientation with consistent achievement of targets.
  • Capability to manage complex client situations.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to manage risk and uncertainty in a dynamic environment.
