Boys Hostel Warden

Job Summary

The Boys’ Hostel Warden is responsible for the overall supervision, safety, discipline, and well-being of students residing in the hostel. The warden ensures a safe, secure, and conducive living environment that supports students’ academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities Student Supervision & Discipline

• Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to hostel rules and regulations
• Supervise students’ daily routines, including study hours, meals, and lights-out times
• Address student concerns, behavioral issues, and conflicts promptly and fairly

Safety & Security

• Ensure the safety and security of all hostel residents at all times
• Monitor entry and exit of students and visitors
• Coordinate with security staff and take immediate action during emergencies

Administration & Records

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, leave, and discipline
• Report incidents, misconduct, or emergencies to school/college authorities
• Assist in room allocation and hostel admissions

Health & Well-being

• Monitor students’ health and hygiene
• Ensure prompt medical attention in case of illness or emergencies
• Promote healthy habits and responsible behavior

Facilities & Maintenance

• Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of hostel premises
• Report and follow up on repairs and maintenance issues
• Supervise housekeeping and support staff

Communication & Coordination

• Act as a liaison between students, parents, and institution management
• Conduct regular meetings with students to address concerns
• Support students’ emotional and academic needs
