Job Description Position Title : Ethanol Plant Operation Trainer (Grain-Based Maize & Rice) Engagement Type : [Contractual / Consultant / Full-time ] Experience : 1520 years in ethanol production (with training exposure preferred) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Ethanol Plant Operation Trainer to conduct a comprehensive training program for the upcoming operational workforce at maize and rice-based ethanol production facility in Bihar. The trainer will be responsible for delivering technical, safety, and hands-on operational training aligned with the plant’s process—from raw grain handling to fuel-grade ethanol production. Key Responsibilities 1. Training Delivery Conduct classroom and on-the-job training sessions based on a pre-defined training module. Use visual aids, presentations, real-plant walkthroughs, and video materials to enhance learning. Deliver training across functional teams including pre-cleaning, milling, fermentation, distillation, dehydration, DDGS handling, and utilities. 2. Curriculum Implementation Deliver the following structured training modules: Introduction to Ethanol Industry Safety & Compliance Procedures Pre-Cleaning Operations Milling, Slurry Preparation & Liquefaction Fermentation, Distillation, and Dehydration DDGS (Dry Distillers Grains with Solubles) Handling Control Room (SCADA/DCS) Operation Maintenance & Housekeeping Protocols 3. Safety & Compliance Training Train all staff on the use of PPE, fire and explosion hazards, emergency response, environmental regulations, and first aid basics. 4. Assessment & Certification Conduct written and practical evaluations. Provide feedback and performance scores to HR or plant leadership. Issue certificates of completion to trainees. 5. Process & Operational Support Guide staff during live process runs where applicable. Provide troubleshooting insight and promote best operational practices. Support plant commissioning, if required. Required Qualifications & Experience B.E./B.Tech in Chemical / Mechanical / Industrial / Process Engineering or related field. Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in a grain-based (maize/rice) ethanol plant. Proven experience as a trainer, process engineer, or operations lead. Strong understanding of fermentation, distillation, utility systems, and SCADA/DCS operations. Good communication and presentation skills in Hindi and English (local dialect proficiency is a plus). Familiarity with PPE, safety protocols, and environmental regulations applicable to ethanol manufacturing. Preferred Attributes Experience in ethanol plants using maize and rice feedstock. Prior work with government/public sector ethanol initiatives. Certification in industrial safety or process training (optional but preferred).
