Job Description : Data Engineer / Analytics Developer Location : Remote Experience: 5 - 7 years Employment Type : Contractual (long-term) Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Data Engineer / Analytics Developer who excels at transforming complex business needs into robust data pipelines, analytical datasets, and insightful dashboards. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL , AWS services, and BI tools , along with the ability to understand business goals and translate them into data-driven outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support data transformation, aggregation, and analysis. Design and build scalable data pipelines using industry best practices and cloudnative tools. Develop and deploy AWS Glue scripts and Lambda functions for ETL and data orchestration workflows. Build and maintain BI dashboards and datasets, preferably using Amazon QuickSight, to deliver KPIs and actionable insights. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data models and visualizations. Monitor, maintain, and optimize data workflows for reliability and performance. Required Qualifications: Proven experience writing and debugging complex SQL queries across large datasets. Hands-on experience building data pipelines and ETL processes in production environments. Strong working knowledge of AWS services, including Glue, Lambda, S3, and related components. Experience with BI tools (preferably Amazon QuickSight) to develop dashboards and reports. Strong understanding of data modeling, data quality, and best practices for analytics development. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with DevOps practices , version control (Git), and CI/CD workflows. Prior experience in a data-driven organization with exposure to cross-functional analytics use cases. Experience with cloud cost optimization and performance tuning for data jobs.
