Job Description

As a BMS Operator, your role involves managing DC facilities at a location/region to ensure 100% uptime. Your responsibilities include risk management, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical BMS / FAS / Fire Suppression infrastructure, asset and inventory management, and creating performance benchmarks. You will also be involved in implementing service methodologies, reviewing AMC & SLA Compliance, handling internal & external audits, and managing procurement and budget for facility operations. Your customer and stakeholder management responsibilities include maintaining transparent communication with management, building professional relationships with partners and cross-functional teams, handling customer visits/queries, and managing project feasibility studies. You will also be responsible for managing relationships with internal & external stakeholders/partners to constantly improve processes and procedures. In terms of technical skills, you are required to provide expert knowledge in the development of BMS, have knowledge of utilities such as Generators, Chillers, Cooling Towers, AHU, and UPS, and hands-on experience on DDC Controllers & BMS graphics and logic. You should also have complete knowledge of open protocols, diversified hands-on experience in building management systems, and basic knowledge of IP Networks and Windows Operating System. Your role will also involve fault diagnosis, technical developments, and providing information for risk registers and databases. Key Responsibilities: - Manage DC facilities to maintain 100% uptime - Implement risk management and corrective/preventative maintenance - Create performance benchmarks and metrics for operational site - Review AMC & SLA Compliance and improve operational procedures - Handle internal & external audits and manage procurement and budget - Maintain transparent communication with management and stakeholders - Build professional relationships with partners and cross-functional teams - Manage customer visits/queries and project feasibility studies - Provide expert knowledge in the development of BMS and utilities - Identify opportunities for energy-saving initiatives - Lead internal staff and contractors in maintenance of ELV systems - Escalate issues requiring capital investment and provide risk assessment information Qualification Required: - BE/B. Tech in Instrumentation/Electronics/Telecommunication/Computers In this role, you will need to have a customer service-centric attitude, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with distributed teams. Your organizational skills, communication abilities, and logical reasoning will be key in managing multiple partners in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, willingness to travel 25-30% of the time is required. (Optional: Experience on Data Center Operation Management & Resource Management),
