Blood Bank Technician

The position available is in the Support Staff and Tech department located in Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have 0-5 years of work experience and hold a BSc with MLT from an FDA approved institute. As a member of the team, your responsibilities will include receiving and processing specimens, interpreting and reporting results, archiving and discarding specimens according to protocol, maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment, performing quality control procedures, reporting equipment malfunctions, maintaining records, assisting in stock checking and inventory control, learning new techniques in transfusion medicine, assisting the Technical Supervisor/Consultant Transfusion Medicine, keeping records updated, monitoring compliance with quality assurance and safety guidelines, coordinating with the Technical Supervisor for blood bank readiness, and assisting the Consultant in daily Blood Bank related activities. To excel in this role, you must work towards achieving harmony in the department, adapt to new techniques in transfusion medicine, and ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with internal and external regulations.
