Job Description

Must-Have** (Ideally should not be more than 3-5)

Proficient in CATIA V5/V6 and AVA methodology for parametric sealing design.
Understanding of sealing paths, water management, and NVH principles.
Knowledge of EPDM, TPV, PVC, and other elastomeric materials used in seals.
Ability to interpret 2D sketches and translate into 3D geometry accurately.
Experience with Teamcenter or similar systems for release and documentation.
Ability to work with BIW, Closures, NVH, and Manufacturing teams.

Good-to-Have

Working knowledge of JIRA, Self-motivating and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Experience creating reusable geometry templates for sealing systems.
Understanding of how sealing systems contribute to cabin noise reduction.
Involvement in prototype builds and production ramp-up phases.
Awareness of recyclable sealing materials and eco-friendly adhesives.
Familiarity with airflow, water ingress, and acoustic simulation tools.
Experience working with Tier 1 sealing suppliers on tooling and feasibility reviews.
Supporting manufacturing / launch issues

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

Create and manage 3D CAD models for BIW sealing components using CATIA V5/V6.
Apply AVA and Powercopy tools to ensure scalable, parametric geometry across platforms.
Collaborate with BIW, Closures, NVH, and Manufacturing teams to ensure robust integration.
Conduct packaging studies, clash analysis, and tolerance reviews.
Support prototype builds, digital mock-ups, and production release activities.
Maintain accurate BOMs and release documentation in Teamcenter or equivalent PLM systems.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure tooling feasibility and design-for-manufacture
