Job Description

Equipment Installation & Commissioning
Install and set up new medical equipment (e.g., ventilators, monitors, imaging devices) in coordination with vendors.
Conduct acceptance testing and ensure user training before clinical use.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
Develop and follow a preventive maintenance schedule for all medical devices.
Perform troubleshooting and repair to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.
Maintain detailed service logs and maintenance history.
Calibration & Quality Assurance
Calibrate equipment per manufacturer guidelines and hospital SOPs.
Ensure devices meet safety, accuracy, and performance standards.
Inventory & Asset Management
Maintain an updated asset register of all biomedical equipment.
Track warranties, service contracts, and renewal of Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC).
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
Liaise with equipment suppliers, OEMs, and service engineers for repairs, upgrades, and spare-part procurement.
Negotiate and monitor service-level agreements.
Compliance & Documentation
Adhere to NABH, ISO, AERB, and other regulatory standards.
Maintain documentation for internal/external audits and statutory requirements.
User Training & Support
Train nursing and clinical staff on proper equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical equipment breakdowns.
