Part-Time Biology Faculty – I & II PUC (State Board)

Job Description:

Future Foundation PU College, Basaveshwara Nagar, is looking for a passionate and experienced Part-Time Biology Faculty to teach both theory and practical classes for 1st and 2nd PUC students under the Karnataka State Board syllabus. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of biological concepts, lab techniques, and be capable of delivering engaging and informative lessons. Strong communication skills and a student-focused teaching approach are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Biology theory to I & II PUC students as per the prescribed State Board syllabus.
• Conduct practical lab sessions, guiding students through biological experiments, specimen studies, and microscope work.
• Prepare comprehensive lesson plans and ensure timely completion of syllabus with revision and exam preparation.
• Assess and evaluate students through tests, assignments, and practical records.
• Explain complex topics like human physiology, genetics, plant biology, ecology, and evolution in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Supervise students during lab work, ensuring safe handling of equipment and specimens.
• Maintain an encouraging and disciplined academic environment.
• Coordinate with academic staff to track and report student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Educational Qualification: M.Sc. / B.Ed. in Biology, Botany, Zoology, or Life Sciences.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the PUC level (State Board syllabus preferred).
• Subject Knowledge: Strong foundation in both theory and practical components of Biology.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in English (Kannada is an added advantage).
• Teaching Skills: Ability to connect with students, simplify complex topics, and manage classroom dynamics.
• Lab Management: Familiarity with biological lab procedures and tools used in PUC practicals.
