Requirements Gathering : Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and business objectives that the BI system should support. Data Modeling : Design the data architecture for the BI system. Create data models, data warehouses, data marts, and data integration processes that consolidate and transform data from various sources into a format suitable for analysis. ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Development : Design and implement ETL processes to extract data from source systems, transform it to meet business requirements, and load it into the data warehouse or data mart. Data Visualization and Reporting : Select and implement BI tools and reporting platforms to create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations. Ensure that users can easily access and analyze data to make informed decisions. Data Governance : Establish data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, security, and compliance with regulations. Define data ownership, access controls, and data lineage. Scalability and Performance Optimization : Plan for the scalability of the BI system as data volumes and user demands grow. Optimize queries, indexes, and database performance to ensure fast response times.
