Job Title: Bay Owner - AM/DM - Cold Peeling Process - Bright Bar - Operation

Location: Boisar, Maharashtra

Qualification: B.Tech / BE / Diploma - Mechanical / Production

Purpose of the role:

Key Responsibilities:

Production Scheduling & Execution

• Develop and implement production schedules for cold peeling to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output targets.

Team Leadership & Management

• Manage, supervise, and motivate the cold peeling team by providing direction, skill training, and continuous performance feedback.

Quality Assurance

• Implement and sustain quality control systems to ensure the peeled bright bars meet dimensional tolerances, surface finish, and customer specifications.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce plant safety guidelines, ensure use of PPEs, and maintain a safe working environment with minimal accidents and near-misses.

Resource Optimization

• Maximize utilization of machines, manpower, and raw materials while reducing rework, scrap, and energy consumption.

Process Improvement

• Identify inefficiencies and implement process enhancements to improve peeling precision, cycle time, and tool life.

Cost Monitoring

• Monitor production costs and work within the department budget while ensuring production goals are met.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain daily production reports, equipment utilization logs, downtime reports, and coordinate effectively with other departments such as QA, Maintenance, and Planning.

Equipment Maintenance Coordination

• Ensure timely preventive and breakdown maintenance of peeling machines and tooling systems to reduce downtime.

Training & Development

• Lead operator skill enhancement through on-the-job training and cross-functional development initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and other productivity and quality improvement initiatives.

Inventory Control

• Monitor and manage raw material and finished goods inventory to ensure consistent supply and avoid production disruption.
