Battery Validation Lead

As a Battery Validation Lead at Zeno, you will play a crucial role in establishing and leading validation efforts for Zenos battery systems. Your responsibilities will include owning the validation strategy, testing infrastructure, and execution of rigorous validation plans to ensure the safety, performance, and reliability of high-energy-density lithium-ion battery packs throughout their lifecycle. **Key Responsibilities:** - Execute DVP and homologation compliance tests of the pack - Conduct BMS board level testing and validation - Own Field data analysis for continuous product improvement - Define and execute comprehensive validation plans for battery modules and packs covering electrical, thermal, mechanical, and environmental tests - Set up and manage validation labs, equipment, and test protocols - Work closely with design, hardware, and firmware teams to define test requirements and acceptance criteria - Lead root cause analysis of failures and drive corrective actions - Ensure compliance with relevant EV and battery regulations - Build data acquisition and reporting systems for validation dashboards - Manage external test labs and certification agencies - Mentor and guide junior validation engineers - Drive continuous improvement in test methodologies and reliability targets **Qualifications Required:** - 7-10 years of experience in battery validation, testing, or reliability engineering, with leadership exposure - Strong knowledge of lithium-ion cell and pack behavior under various conditions - Expertise in electrical and thermal testing, failure analysis, and validation methodologies - Hands-on experience with validation equipment and systems - Familiarity with automotive and EV validation standards - Strong analytical skills and ability to translate test data into insights - Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional validation programs - Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills At Zeno, you will have the opportunity to work in a mission-driven team that is shaping the trillion-dollar transition of two-wheelers to electric.
