Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design and develop battery packs including 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using GD&T and tolerance stack-up.
Generate BoM and select suitable components, materials, and sealing methods for vibration, shock, and ingress protection requirements.
Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC/UL standards and adopt best design practices.
Collaborate with suppliers for component selection (thermal pads, foams, connectors, etc.).
Work closely with cross-functional teams (analysis, thermal, testing, and manufacturing) for design validation, prototyping, and qualification.
Support DFM, DFMEA, and identify potential failure modes at pack level.
Contribute to design of LV/HV packs for 2W/3W/LCV applications, considering electrical isolation, BMS mounting, and connector integration.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
8 to 12 years of experience in
battery pack design
(EV/automotive domain).
Strong expertise in CAD tools (SolidWorks).
Solid knowledge of Li-ion cell chemistry, series/parallel configuration, charge/discharge behavior.
Hands-on experience in DFM, vibration/shock assessment, and sealing design.
Familiarity with thermal management concepts and collaboration with analysis teams.
Exposure to prototyping, supplier management, and validation testing.
Background in
Battery or Automotive industry
is a strong advantage.
