Job Purpose:

The Service Technical Lead will oversee the technical service operations for battery chargers (EV chargers, industrial chargers, motive power applications). The role involves guiding service engineers, resolving complex technical issues, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving continuous improvement in service quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership

  • Act as the technical authority for service engineers and field teams.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical failures.
  • Support in design improvements and feedback to R&D/product teams.

2. Service Operations Management

  • Plan, allocate, and monitor service tasks for field engineers.
  • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is executed as per SOPs.
  • Manage AMC contracts, warranty claims, and escalation handling.

3. Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with key customers to resolve high-priority issues.
  • Conduct technical training sessions for customers and partners.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction scores through timely service delivery.

4. Documentation & Compliance

  • Review and approve service reports, test records, and failure analysis.
  • Maintain compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards.
  • Create and update service manuals, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base.

5. Team Development & Training

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers.
  • Conduct skill-gap analysis and arrange training programs.
  • Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Expertise in power electronics, high-frequency battery chargers, SMPS, and EV DC fast charging systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical standards, wiring regulations, and EV charging protocols.
  • Hands-on proficiency with diagnostic tools: CRO, multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, CAN analyzer.
