Basketball Coach

You will be working as a Basketball Coach at Hi 5 Youth Foundation, a sports NGO dedicated to providing free basketball training to underprivileged children aged between 9 to 18 years. The foundation currently trains 2100 children across multiple cities with a team of 25 coaches. Your role will involve coaching basketball to kids following the Hi 5 Basketball curriculum, building teams for tournaments, studying player skills for performance enhancement, and conducting basketball testing at assigned centers. Additionally, you will be responsible for teaching game rules, mentoring new coaches, and providing counseling to all children at your center. Key Responsibilities: - Coach basketball to kids based on the Hi 5 Basketball curriculum - Form teams for participation in tournaments - Analyze player skills to improve performance - Generate strategies to enhance team performance - Conduct basketball testing at designated centers - Educate players on game rules - Train new coaches on the Hi 5 Curriculum - Offer mentorship and counseling to all children at the center Qualifications Required: - Prior experience in basketball (preferred) - Basic knowledge of the game - Proficiency in Hindi (mandatory), English (preferred), and local language (preferred) - High energy level and top physical condition (mandatory) - Ability to motivate players (mandatory) - Strong leadership qualities - Attention to detail As part of the Hi 5 Youth Foundation team, you will have the opportunity to impact the lives of underprivileged children through basketball training. The initial training will be provided in Mumbai for a period of 3 to 6 months.
