Job Title : Basketball Coach Department : Sports & Physical Education Location : Bannerghatta Road - Bengaluru Job Purpose To coach and mentor students in the sport of basketball, develop their skills, promote teamwork and discipline, and prepare teams for competitions at inter-school and other levels. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and conduct regular basketball coaching sessions. Teach fundamental techniques, strategies, and rules of basketball to students across different age groups (Grades 1–12). Identify and nurture talent for school teams and inter-school tournaments. Develop and implement training programs suited for beginners, intermediate, and advanced players. Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive values through sport. Maintain discipline and ensure student safety during all practices and matches. Coordinate with PE teachers and event coordinators for scheduling matches, tournaments, and practice sessions. Monitor and evaluate players’ progress and provide individual feedback. Ensure the proper upkeep of basketball equipment and playing courts. Accompany students for external tournaments and act as the team mentor. Requirements Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field (preferred). Certification or training in Basketball Coaching from a recognized sports authority is desirable. Experience : Minimum 2–3 years of experience in coaching basketball, preferably in a school or academy setup. Skills & Attributes : Strong knowledge of basketball rules, strategies, and training techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with students of different age groups and skill levels. Enthusiastic, motivational, and patient in approach. Capable of handling match day pressure and team coordination. Work Schedule 3 days in a week 8am to 4pm Remuneration As per industry standards / Based on experience and qualifications.
