Job Description

Job Title:

Experience:

Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) / Converter section

Key Responsibilities:

Lead mechanical maintenance operations of BOF/Converters.
Minimize breakdowns through root cause analysis and preventive maintenance.
Execute annual shutdowns and overhauls with precision.
Ensure high equipment availability, safety, and reliability.
Monitor mechanical performance KPIs and drive continuous improvements.
Coordinate with operations, electrical, and instrumentation teams.

Key Skills:

BOF / Converter Mechanical Maintenance.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance.
Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems.
Root Cause Analysis.
Gearbox, Bearing, and Roller Maintenance.
Shutdown Planning & Execution.
SAP/CMMS (preferred).
Team Management.
Safety Compliance.

Candidate Profile:

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
12–18 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in steel plants.
Must have hands-on exposure in BOF/Converter maintenance.
Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination skills.
