Barista

Job Summary

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items while delivering excellent customer service. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of coffee-making techniques, and the ability to create a welcoming environment for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take accurate beverage and food orders.
• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, and other beverages according to company standards.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including tables, counters, and work areas.
• Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, pastries, and other supplies as needed.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately through the POS system.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in all food and beverage preparation.
• Provide product knowledge to customers and promote menu specials or new items.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and inventory checks.
• Support team members to ensure smooth and efficient café operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role (preferred but not required).
• Passion for coffee, beverages, and customer service.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and well-groomed.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced café or coffee shop setting.
• Requires standing for long periods and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
