Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for the reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts for a specific business Segment. Your role will involve supporting the respective reconciliation segment leads in ensuring full compliance with the Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Substantiation Policy. Key Responsibilities: - Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts assigned to you in accordance with BSRS Policy and standard/desktop documented procedure. - Ensure all reconciliations meet specific criteria, including reporting all exceptions accurately in eRecon. - Maintain supporting documentation for work performed and exceptions noted, including determining root causes of recurring exceptions. - Report P&L at risk in eRecon and implement appropriate action plans to resolve exceptions. - Support the implementation of strategic ledger by participating in UAT for the reconciliation function. - Escalate and facilitate remediation of material reconciliation exceptions in coordination with Account Owners. - Coordinate Internal and External Audits and Regulatory interfacing related to the Balance Sheet Reconciliation function. - Drive timely, complete, and accurate attestation of GL account keys and support in reducing red account balances. - Partner with Controller Transformation group to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and control. Talent Development: - Drive knowledge management practices and effectively interact in team meetings. - Provide vocal leadership, encourage team members to speak up, build trust within the team, mentor junior colleagues, and be approachable. Enhancing Controls: - Assess risk when making business decisions and participate in global Internal Audits and KPMG audit engagements. - Maintain documentation/controls for financial, regulatory, and management information integrity. - Support the creation of an effective control environment and drive a zero-tolerance culture on control breaches. - Coordinate remediation of all high and medium risk EUCs. Qualifications: - 2-5 years of proven experience in accounting, financial reporting, and/or product control. - Strong ability to analyze financial data and provide insights on US GAAP/IFRS in a banking/financial services environment. - Ability to influence peers and business partners, proficiency with MS Project and MS Office Suite. - Demonstrated ability to manage risks and enhance controls in financial accounting processes, and work across functional areas. Education: Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.,
