Role & responsibilities Switchyard Electrical Erection:Execute the installation and alignment of switchyard equipment, including power and distribution transformers, insulators, isolators, CTs, PTs, GIS (Gas-Insulated Switchgear), and circuit breakers.Supervise erection of electrical equipment in 400kV and 220kV switchyards, ensuring adherence to project plans and technical specifications.Erection of power and distribution transformers, insulators, isolators, CTs (Current Transformers), and PTs (Potential Transformers).2. Relay, Testing, and Commissioning:Relay protection, Auto re-closer, and SCADA system integration for high-voltage systems.Troubleshooting of all electrical circuits, controls, and protection circuits.Conduct testing and commissioning of HT (High Tension) and LT (Low Tension) motors, transformers, circuit breakers, CTs, PTs, CVTs, and reactors.Perform interlock, synchronization, and functional checks for GIS bays up to 400kV.Testing and commissioning of all electrical equipment at various voltage levels, including DG load tests and FFPH systems.Conduct testing and commissioning of power and distribution transformers.Relay testing, troubleshooting, and calibration.Circuit breaker testing and validation, including mechanical and electrical performance checks.3. Project Execution:Lead project execution from the installation phase to handover, coordinating with teams and ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained.Testing of CTs (Current Transformers), PTs (Potential Transformers), breakers, bus bar CRM (Contact Resistance Measurement), transformer testing, REF (Restricted Earth Fault) and SEF (Sensitive Earth Fault) protection, and cable Hi-pot testing.Perform power transformer testing, ICT (Interconnecting Transformer) testing, reactor testing, and motor no-load testing.Oversee electrical execution from planning to handover in compliance with project specifications.Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance during the execution phase.4. Quality Assurance and Documentation:Ensure compliance with industry standards for electrical testing and commissioning, ensuring all equipment functions as per design.Document all testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities, including results and reports for future reference.5. Documentation and Reporting:Prepare testing and commissioning reports, technical documentation, and project completion certificates.Maintain detailed records of all tests, results, and commissioning data for future reference.Preferred candidate profile 5+ years of experience in 220kV and 400kV switchyard erection, testing, and commissioning.Expertise in relay protection, Auto re-closers, SCADA systems, and electrical equipment testing.Knowledge of high-voltage systems and standards, including CT, PT, transformer testing, and circuit breaker testing.Proficiency with testing and commissioning tools for high-voltage systems.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for electrical circuits and protection systems.Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing complex projects.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Material Handling and Storage:Ensure safe storage and handling practices for sensitive and heavy equipment, particularly for items like transformers, conductors, and bus bars.Arrange storage in a manner that optimizes space and protects items from corrosion, weather exposure, and mechanical damage.Implement and oversee quality checks for storage conditions, ensuring that materials are kept in line with project standards and safety protocols.3. Receiving and Dispatch:Oversee the receipt, inspection, and documentation of materials delivered to the store, ensuring they meet project specifications and purchase orders.Manage the dispatch of materials to project sites, coordinating with transport teams to ensure safe handling and delivery.Maintain an organized record of incoming and outgoing materials, and ensure that proper documentation accompanies all shipments.4. Documentation and Record-Keeping:Maintain detailed records of inventory levels, stock movements, and material usage for transparency and audit purposes.Generate and submit reports such as stock status, reorder levels, and consumption reports for project management.Maintain material requisition slips, goods receipt notes, issue vouchers, and other documentation to facilitate smooth project operations.5.
