Backend Engineering Lead

Role Overview: You are being hired as a Backend Engineering Lead with expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices to design, build, and scale enterprise-grade backend systems. Your role will involve hands-on experience in containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), API development, and system performance tuning in cloud-native environments. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the development of scalable backend systems using Spring Boot and Java - Design and implement RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture - Ensure robust API security, authentication, rate-limiting, and versioning - Implement containerized services using Docker, deploy and orchestrate with Kubernetes - Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to ensure CI/CD, monitoring, and high availability - Optimize backend performance, latency, and reliability - Guide and mentor backend engineers; enforce code quality and design standards - Work closely with frontend, product, and QA teams for full lifecycle delivery Qualification Required: - 8+ years of experience in backend development - Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices - Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration - Experience with any one Orchestration/workflow/ESB tools (TIBCO BW, Camunda will be preferred) - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP - Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.) - Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) - Solid understanding of asynchronous messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus - Strong problem-solving, design thinking, and leadership skills - Good understanding of Code Quality and Standards Additional Details: Exposure to API gateways, rate-limiting, and OpenAPI/Swagger, experience with caching strategies (Redis, Hazelcast), and knowledge of observability tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana) would be considered nice to have.,
