Backend Engineer Trainee

We’re searching for a driven and enthusiastic Backend Engineer Trainee to become a part of our remote team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone eager to launch their career by building the robust and scalable server-side logic for our cutting-edge AI applications. As a Backend Engineer, you’ll primarily work with JavaScript/TypeScript and various modern frameworks. You’ll collaborate closely with frontend engineers and product managers to develop and maintain the backbone of our services. What You’ll Do - Develop and maintain server-side applications and APIs using JavaScript/TypeScript. - Work with both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases. - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. - Assist with DevOps tasks, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and cloud infrastructure management. - Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. - Participate in code reviews, testing, and performance optimization. - Learn and grow within a fast-paced AI startup environment. What We’re Looking For - A solid understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript. - Familiarity with backend frameworks such as Node.js, Express, or similar. - Experience with both SQL and NoSQL database systems. - Basic knowledge of DevOps principles and tools (e.g., Docker, Git, CI/CD). - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. - A proactive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
