Back-End Engineer

Responsibilities:

Backend Engineering:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using

  Java

  .
• Lead and contribute to the transformation of legacy platforms to

  Microservices

  and

  Event-Driven Architectures (EDA)

  .
• Participate in full SDLC from architecture discussions to coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation in collaboration with DevOps.
• Ensure best practices in coding, design, and system architecture.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for automation coverage.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence.

Data Engineering:

• Design and implement

  ETL/ELT pipelines

  for ingesting and transforming large datasets.
• Develop both

  batch

  and

  streaming data pipelines

  using tools like

  Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink

  , etc.
• Build and maintain

  data APIs

  and microservices to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Work with structured and semi-structured data from various sources and formats.
• Leverage cloud-native tools like

  AWS Glue

  /

  Snowflake

  /

  OpenSearch

  for data storage, transformation, and querying.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and compliance with governance standards.

Skills and Good to Have:

• 6+ years of backend development experience using

  Java

  .
• Proficiency with

  Micronaut

  , Spring Boot, or similar frameworks.
• Strong hands-on experience with

  SQL

  ,

  ETL/ELT processes

  , and

  data modeling

  .
• Experience with

  streaming and batch processing

  frameworks (e.g.,

  Kafka

  Flink

  ).
• Solid knowledge of

  AWS services

  (e.g.,

  Athena

  , etc.).
• Experience working with

• Familiarity with building and consuming

  data APIs

• Experience working in

  Agile/Scrum

  teams and using tools like JIRA, Git, Jenkins, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
