Job Description

As a backend engineer at Latinum, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing high-performance systems to solve complex business problems. You will be part of a dynamic engineering team that focuses on creating robust and scalable solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and develop scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot - Build event-driven microservices and cloud-native APIs - Implement secure, observable, and high-performance solutions - Collaborate with teams to define architecture, patterns, and standards - Contribute to solution design, code reviews, and production readiness - Troubleshoot, optimize, and monitor distributed systems in production - Mentor junior engineers (for senior roles) **Qualifications Required:** - Strong capabilities in either Core Java backend engineering or Microservices and Cloud architecture - Working knowledge in both areas is preferred for senior roles - Proficiency in Java 8+ features like Streams, Lambdas, Functional Interfaces, and Optionals - Experience with Spring Core, Spring Boot, multithreading, and object-oriented principles - Familiarity with Kafka, JPA, RDBMS/NoSQL, and JVM tuning - Knowledge of REST APIs, Spring Cloud, Kafka Streams, and GraphQL - Hands-on experience with cloud-native applications on AWS and CI/CD pipelines - Understanding of API security protocols like Oauth 2.0, JWT, and API Gateway configuration **Additional Details:** Latinum is a forward-thinking company that values innovation and collaboration.
