The Opportunity:

BeBetta is building the future of fan engagement. To make this possible, we need a backend that can scale to millions of concurrent users making real-time predictions during live events. That means designing systems optimized for

massive scale, low latency, and reliability

We are looking for a

Backend Engineer (SDE-II)

with strong Golang skills to help us build the next generation of our core systems. You ll work on the

,rewards ledger, and real-time data pipelines

, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. While our current stack includes Node.js, our future is in Go and you ll play a key role in building that future.

What You ll Achieve:

Build core backend services in Golang
: Design, implement, and scale the backbone services of BeBetta.
Tackle concurrency & performance challenges
: Work on problems unique to real-time gaming and sports tech, ensuring accuracy and fairness for thousands of users.
Contribute to migration strategy
: Collaborate on migrating services from Node.js to Go while keeping systems reliable.
Improve engineering standards
: Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code while following best practices.
Ship with impact
: See your work go live quickly and directly improve the experience for our users.

What You ll Bring:

2 4 years of experience
building backend systems, with solid proficiency in
Golang
.
Experience in
microservices architecture, APIs, and system design
.
Exposure to
Node.js
or other backend languages, with willingness to work across stacks if needed.
Good understanding of
databases
(PostgreSQL preferred) and caching systems like
Redis
.
Familiarity with
Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS)
.
Strong fundamentals in
testing, observability, and clean coding practices
.
A problem-solving mindset, curiosity, and a passion for building scalable systems.
