Backend Engineer EV Systems

As a Backend Engineer EV Systems at our client's organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable backend architectures to support next-generation electric mobility solutions. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficiency, performance, and reliability across the EV ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: - System Design & Development: - Architect, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations for large-scale EV applications. - Implement efficient data models and design systems optimized for real-time operations and analytics. - Scalability & Performance: - Diagnose and eliminate system bottlenecks to ensure low latency and high throughput for critical applications. - Optimize backend processes and database interactions to enhance performance and reliability. - Collaboration & Delivery: - Work closely with frontend, hardware, and product teams to deliver seamless and integrated solutions. - Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and drive engineering excellence. - Reliability & Quality: - Ensure high code quality through comprehensive testing, monitoring, and documentation. - Automate deployment pipelines and maintain uptime using observability and performance monitoring tools. - Innovation & Continuous Improvement: - Explore new technologies, frameworks, and design patterns relevant to EV systems and IoT infrastructure. - Continuously enhance the platform's performance, scalability, and developer productivity. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 3-6 years of backend development experience with expertise in Node.js, Nest.js, and TypeScript. - Deep understanding of PostgreSQL, relational database design, and performance tuning. - Proven experience in building and deploying microservices and RESTful APIs at scale. - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. - Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on building clean, maintainable, and scalable systems. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and ownership attitude. Preferred Skills: - Exposure to EV platforms, IoT systems, or telematics data. - Understanding of event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ). - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and API gateway management.
