Key Responsibilities

• Architect & Develop

  robust backend services and RESTful APIs using

  FastAPI

  .

• Design scalable databases

  and optimize queries in

  PostgreSQL

  .
• Implement and manage

  background tasks/async jobs

  for processing heavy workloads.
• Integrate with

  external APIs

  (third-party platforms, payment gateways, etc.) reliably and securely.
• Build and maintain

  payment integration systems

  ensuring compliance and transaction security.
• Manage

  Azure cloud deployment pipelines

  , ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Ensure

  code quality, testing, and documentation

  across all services.
• Proactively identify system bottlenecks and propose improvements.

• Requirements

• 5+ years

  of professional backend engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in

  Python

  and

  FastAPI

  (or similar frameworks like Flask/Django, with willingness to specialize in FastAPI).
• Solid experience with

  PostgreSQL

  including schema design, indexing, query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with

  background task frameworks

  (Celery, RQ, asyncio, or FastAPI BackgroundTasks).
• Proven ability in

  external API integrations

  (REST, OAuth2, Webhooks).
• Strong knowledge of

  payment gateway integrations

  (Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, etc.).
• Proficiency with

  Azure Cloud Services

  (App Services, SQL, Storage Queues, Functions, Deployment Pipelines).
• Familiarity with

  CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes)

  .
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
