Backend Developer

As a Backend IT Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and APIs for our web and mobile applications. You will collaborate closely with front-end developers and other team members to ensure seamless integration and performance. Your work will focus on ensuring high scalability, security, and performance of our backend systems. Key Responsibilities Server-Side Development: Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure server-side applications and microservices. Database Management: Develop and manage databases, including schema design, query optimization, and ensuring efficient data retrieval. API Development: Build and maintain RESTful or GraphQL APIs to support frontend functionality and third-party integrations. Performance Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize backend systems for performance, including load balancing and data caching. Security: Implement security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption, to protect sensitive data and ensure the integrity of the system. Cloud Infrastructure: Work with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to deploy and scale backend systems. Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers to ensure smooth integration between backend services and user-facing applications. Version Control: Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to collaborate with team members and maintain code quality. Testing and Debugging: Write unit and integration tests, troubleshoot issues, and ensure code reliability. Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in server-side programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, PHP, Ruby, Go). Solid experience with databases (relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB, and Redis). Experience with API design and development (RESTful, GraphQL). Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Proficiency in version control systems like Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket. Understanding containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) for deploying and managing services. Experience with authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, API keys). Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
