Backend Developer - Java/Spring Boot

As a software engineer in this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing software features and components while adhering to best practices and coding standards. Your contributions will include identifying the root cause of complex problems, scale, and stability challenges, and proposing solutions to mitigate them in short, medium, and long-term horizons. Staying abreast of new technologies, frameworks, and best practices in software development will be crucial as you apply them to enhance the performance and reliability of software systems. Additionally, you will be tasked with writing and maintaining technical documentation, API specifications, code documentation, and technical design documents. Participation in code reviews, as well as the development of coding standards and best practices, will be expected. Furthermore, you will play a role in mentoring junior engineers to support their professional growth and development. Leading software development projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this position, you should possess excellent computer science fundamentals and have a minimum of 4+ years of experience working with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and SQL/NOSQL. Experience in working on web applications that operate at a high scale is essential. Your ability to navigate the dynamic environment of a startup and handle ambiguity effectively will be valuable. Strong communication skills, enabling you to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, are necessary.
