About Role:
We are seeking a passionate and talented Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in building the core backend of our healthcare platform. Responsibilities
- Someone who can take full ownership of the product
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable systems
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from conception to deployment to the impact of the product.
- Optimise application performance and ensure high availability.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code with unit/ integration tests.
- Collaborate with the product team to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Python/GoLang backend programming language and in frameworks
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, coding design & practices and database design
- Expertise in implementing quality, efficient and optimised micro services (using tools and technologies for messaging (queues, pubsub), RPC (Go lang), Django (Python) with rest framework, containerization, Firebase, etc.)
- Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases (for experience: 1-2 years), ability to write complex queries and optimise them (for example: 2+ years)
- Passion for building high-quality software.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team with app developers and try to understand the constraints on the app to provide better solutions
- A strong sense of ownership and a desire to see projects through to completion and follow up on their impact
- The biggest requirement is an open mind and a keenness to learn more every day.
Bonus Points:
1. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and data analysis/ deployment tools is a plus.
2. Experience with healthcare-related projects.
3. Contributions to open-source projects.
