Role Summary:

Microsoft Azure and Azure Stack environments

Key Responsibilities:

Patch Management

• Apply patches to

  Azure-hosted

  Azure Stack

  hybrid servers

  Azure Update Management

  and integrated tools.
• Use

  Microsoft Defender for Cloud

  to detect, prioritize, and track security vulnerabilities across cloud and edge systems.
• Monitor patch deployment success/failure via

  Azure Monitor

  ,

  Log Analytics

  , and

  Azure Stack tools

  .

Backup Monitoring

• Monitor and validate backup integrity for

  Azure VMs

  ,

  Azure Stack workloads

  ,

  SharePoint Online

  ,

  OneDrive

  , and file services using

  Azure Backup

  ,

  Recovery Services Vault

  , and applicable

  Azure Stack backup integrations

  .
• Investigate and report backup failures, perform diagnostics, and escalate via

  ServiceNow

  or alerting platforms.

Certificate Management

• Track and manage certificates across

  Azure Services

  ,

  Entra ID-integrated applications

  ,

  Azure Stack endpoints

  , and on-prem systems.
• Leverage

  Azure Key Vault

  and

  Azure Stack certificate stores

  to securely manage certificate lifecycle and automate renewals.
• Maintain alerting mechanisms and proactive renewal processes for expiring certificates across environments.

Server Monitoring

• Monitor server health (CPU, memory, disk usage, uptime) across

  Azure and Azure Stack VMs

  using

  Azure Monitor

  ,

  Log Analytics

  , and

  Azure Stack monitoring tools

  .
• Integrate alerts with

  ServiceNow

  for incident creation, triage, and SLA tracking.
• Perform initial investigation and basic remediation of infrastructure health alerts.

KPI Reporting

Contribute to operational and executive reporting on a weekly basis, including:

• Patch compliance (Azure + Azure Stack)
• Backup success and failure rates
• Certificate validity and renewal tracking
• Server uptime and resource utilization trends
• Infrastructure exceptions or anomalies

Service Requests & Change Management

• Handle service requests and change activities using

  Azure DevOps

  ,

  Azure Stack Hub

  , and

  ServiceNow workflows

  .
• Follow standard

  CAB approval processes

  for implementation and rollback planning.
• Document SOPs, work instructions, and operational guides for repeatable processes.

Required Skills:

• 3 - 6 years of experience in IT Infrastructure or hybrid cloud (Azure + on-prem) managed services roles.
• Strong experience with:

• Microsoft Azure

  ,

  Azure Stack Hub

  , and

  Azure Arc

• Microsoft Defender for Cloud

• Azure Monitor

  ,

  Log Analytics

  ,

  Azure Backup

  Key Vault

• Experience managing hybrid environments, particularly

  Azure Stack for edge/cloud consistency

• Familiarity with

  ServiceNow

  , ITIL-aligned change management, and incident processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting, automation, and documentation capabilities.
• Azure certifications such as

  AZ-104

  ,

  AZ-500

  , or

  AZ-600 (Azure Stack Hub Operator Associate)

  are highly preferred.
