About the Role

Data Engineer (Azure)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust data pipelines using

    Azure Data Factory, Event Hub, Cosmos DB, Synapse, SQL DB, Databricks

  • Build scalable distributed processing solutions using

    Python, Spark, and PySpark

  • Work on

    SQL-based development

    and large-scale data integration projects
  • Implement

    Lambda Architecture

    and contribute to

    Modern Data Warehouse

    practices
  • Utilize

    Azure Data Lake Analytics, Azure SQL DW

    , and

    streaming technologies

  • Collaborate with Agile teams and follow best practices in development and testing
  • Write scripts using

    Shell or similar scripting languages

  • Ensure data quality, scalability, and performance throughout data workflows

Must-Have Skills

  • 5+ years of overall experience in data engineering
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Data Engineering Stack (ADF, Event Hub, Synapse, Databricks, Cosmos DB, SQL DB, Data Explorer)
  • 3+ years of experience with

    Python/Spark/PySpark

  • Strong SQL and coding capabilities
  • Familiarity with

    Azure Data Lake Analytics, U-SQL, Azure SQL DW

  • Solid understanding of

    Lambda Architecture

    and data warehousing principles
  • Experience working in

    Agile teams

    and modern DevOps environments
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Azure Data Engineer certification

  • Experience with

    streaming use cases

  • Knowledge of

    software development best practices

  • Strong organizational and independent problem-solving abilities
