AWS & Databricks Lead Engineer

Role Overview: As a Senior AI & Data Engineering Lead specializing in Databricks on AWS, you will play a crucial role in supporting a high-impact MarTech initiative that focuses on data governance and secure model deployment. Your main responsibilities will involve collaborating with security teams for dependency and security management, setting up CI/CD pipelines for Databricks deployment assets, implementing PCI/PII guardrails, evaluating and serving AI models, ensuring data classification compliance, and approving SOAR artifacts. Your role will require 14+ years of experience in data engineering, AI/ML pipelines, or DevOps for data platforms, hands-on experience with Databricks on AWS, exposure to AI governance, data privacy, PCI/PII compliance, and secure data practices, as well as strong collaboration skills to engage with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate with security teams for tech package dependency approvals and onboard dependencies onto Databricks Development on AWS. - Establish CI pipelines for Databricks deployment assets and rollout CD pipelines in collaboration with Cloud Platform teams. - Apply best practices for PCI and PII data protection on Databricks and drive moderation and validation processes. - Identify, evaluate, and approve suitable AI models for SMB AI applications and execute model evaluation frameworks and serving strategies. - Document and obtain approvals for data classification efforts tied to SMB AI apps. - Drive preparation and approval of SOAR artifacts with stakeholders and architecture review boards. Qualifications Required: - 14+ years of experience in data engineering, AI/ML pipelines, or DevOps for data platforms. - Hands-on experience with Databricks on AWS including CI/CD pipeline management. - Strong exposure to AI governance, data privacy, PCI/PII compliance, and secure data practices. - Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams (Cloud, Security, AI Governance, Data Privacy). - Prior experience in model evaluation, deployment, and monitoring frameworks.
