AVP - Model Development & Execution

As an Assistant Vice President - Model Development and Execution at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in spearheading the evolution of the digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Experience with planning and stress testing, model validation, and reporting - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Sound understanding of financial statement analysis - Good understanding of financial markets and relationships with major macroeconomic variables - Experience in building and maintenance of financial models on MS Excel - Ability to crunch numbers from large datasets and produce actionable insights/analytics - Robust analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work with multiple teams to drive business outcomes Qualifications Required: - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Sound understanding of financial statement analysis - Experience in building and maintenance of financial models on MS Excel - Ability to crunch numbers from large datasets and produce actionable insights/analytics - Robust analytical and problem-solving skills In addition to the above, some other highly valued skills include: - Post-graduate degree or equivalent in Finance/Accounting - Prior experience in developing/execution of stress testing models in the banking industry - Understanding of key model risk management principles prescribed by global regulators - Hands-on experience in using tools such as Python, Alteryx, Tableau, or Qlikview is desirable This role will be based out of Chennai. Purpose of the role: To support Screening with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution, making decisions in line with comply with relevant regulatory and industry standards.
