AVP, IAM Scrum Master

The role of AVP, IAM Scrum Master at Synchrony involves leading agile scrum teams on Information Security projects and initiatives. As the Scrum Master, you will mentor and coach teams through agile methodologies and facilitate strategic and tactical conversations with various stakeholders. You will collaborate with InfoSec product managers, technical leads, and clients to ensure a seamless customer experience in the Information Security space. Key responsibilities include leading teams in the effective use of Agile principles and frameworks, acting as Scrum Master for assigned teams, managing sprints, facilitating ceremonies, and removing impediments. You will work closely with engineers and stakeholders to understand product functionality and customer requirements, as well as track metrics and maintain agile documentation. Additionally, you will lead projects in Waterfall to Agile methodologies, support the Agile transformation journey, and be the Agile learnings lead for the ART. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of work experience or 8+ years of work experience without a degree. You should possess a minimum of 5 years of IT experience, with expertise in Jira, Agile, and other project management tools. Certification in SAFe Agilist and SAFE Scrum Master is required. Desired skills include InfoSec/IAM business and technology experience, previous working experience with InfoSec technologies, and the ability to coach and transform technology delivery teams into an Agile framework. To be successful in this role, you must have strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication skills, initiative, and the capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously are essential. As part of Synchrony's Enhanced Flexibility and Choice program, the role requires availability between 06:00 AM Eastern Time and 11:30 AM Eastern Time, with flexible hours for the remainder.
