AVP Data Scientist-Fraud Model Development

As a Specialized Analytics Senior Analyst at our company, you will be a seasoned professional contributing to the development of new techniques and processes within the analytics field. Your role will have a significant impact on project outcomes and team performance within the area. **Responsibilities:** - Partner closely with Strategy partners and Model Risk Management validators throughout the model lifecycle, including validation, ongoing evaluation, and annual reviews. - Develop, validate, and test fraud detection models, conducting rigorous validation assessments and implementing methodologies to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. - Work with large and complex data sets to recommend and support the implementation of advanced Machine Learning Models, using tools like Hive and SQL. - Document data requirements, perform data analysis, and utilize statistical models and algorithms for exploratory data analysis. - Specialize in the fraud or risk domain and appropriately assess risks when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. **Qualifications:** - 8+ years of hands-on analytical experience - 5+ years of experience in statistical analysis with proficiency in Python, Hive, Spark, or SAS - Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with knowledge of statistical concepts, modeling techniques, and ML algorithms - Expertise in model evaluation techniques and familiarity with regulatory requirements related to risk model validation - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience in stakeholder management, and strong project management abilities - Ability to work independently, handle large volumes of data, and deliver projects in a fast-paced environment - Master's/Bachelor's/PhD degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field This job description provides a comprehensive overview of the role you will be undertaking.
