Greeting ! We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Assistant Vice President (AVP) to lead the implementation, support, and operational excellence of our critical ATM and Debit Card application platforms. This is an on-roll opportunity within a leading financial institution, based out of our Seawoods, Navi Mumbai office. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functioning, robust performance, and continuous evolution of these essential customer-facing systems. Key Responsibilities: Platform Leadership & L3 Support : Lead and manage the L3 application support for all ATM and Debit Card platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and stability for critical customer-facing services. Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes, ensuring timely resolution of issues and effective implementation of system enhancements. Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for complex production incidents, implementing permanent fixes to prevent recurrence. Application Implementation & Roll-outs: Spearhead the end-to-end implementation of new ATM and Debit Card application features, version upgrades, and major roll-outs. Ensure seamless integration with core banking systems, payment networks (e.g., RuPay, Visa, Mastercard), and other internal/external interfaces. Manage project planning, resource allocation, and execution for all implementation initiatives. Change Management & Governance: Manage the complete change life-cycle, including detailed requirement gathering, technical feasibility assessment, comprehensive impact analysis, securing necessary approvals, and coordinating successful deployments of application code, database changes, and OS-level patches. Ensure strict adherence to ITIL best practices and the bank's internal governance frameworks. System Administration & Automation: Administer and provide expert support for underlying Unix/Linux/AIX environments that host ATM and Debit Card applications. Develop and implement shell scripts for automation of routine operational tasks, monitoring, and reporting. Manage enterprise-level job scheduling systems (e.g., Autosys), including JIL (Job Information Language) creation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. API Development & Testing Oversight: Oversee the implementation and enhancement of APIs (SOAP and RESTful services) related to payment processing and card services. Lead and guide teams in performing rigorous integration testing, and conducting performance/load testing (using tools like Postman, SOAP UI) to ensure system robustness and scalability. Middleware & Database Management: Manage and support various middleware stacks (e.g., IBM WebSphere Application Server, Windows Server IIS, Apache Tomcat, WebLogic), ensuring optimal service uptime, configuration compliance, and timely patching. Collaborate closely with DBA teams for database health, performance tuning, and schema changes related to card applications (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2) Infrastructure & Security Coordination: Work closely with infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure deployment setups, including firewall rule provisioning, port configuration, and endpoint security validations. Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and ensure code replications and readiness on DR systems. Quality Assurance & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Perform and oversee sanity checks in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments. Conduct version control validations, including rollback/rollforward testing, to ensure backward compatibility and forward stability. Partner effectively with Business Analysts, Development, and other IT teams for comprehensive impact analysis and resolution of high-impact changes related to card issuance, transaction processing, and customer work Vendor Management: Act as a key liaison for third-party vendors providing ATM hardware, software, or related services, overseeing onboarding, performance monitoring, compliance tracking, and coordination during deployments and support transitions. Financial Planning & Procurement (Relevant at AVP level): Contribute to preparing cost estimates, effort analysis, and managing purchase order lifecycles for application upgrades, software/hardware procurement, and service contracts related to ATM and Debit Card operations. Required Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is mandatory. A Master's degree is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5+ years specifically in L3 Application Support and Implementation roles within the Banking/Financial Services industry. Demonstrable experience with Debit Card and ATM application platforms is essential. Proven experience in managing and supporting applications on Unix/Linux/AIX environments. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of payment transaction processing, card issuance, and related banking workflows. Strong hands-on experience with databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) and PL/SQL scripting. Expertise in middleware technologies (e.g., IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, IIS). Proficiency in shell scripting for automation. Experience with enterprise-level job scheduling tools like Autosys (JIL creation, maintenance, troubleshooting). Solid understanding and experience with API (SOAP and RESTful) integration and testing. Familiarity with incident management (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and change management tools. Understanding of IT security principles relevant to financial applications.
